Wands

In tarot, fire signs are represented by the suit of wands. In the traditional Smith-Waite art, the wands suit depicts people doing manual labor, overlooking beautiful vistas, and going on journeys with large wands or staffs. In modern card decks, this is the suit of clubs! These cards tell you about creativity and inspiration, ambition, passion, and achieving goals. I chose to represent the brown color of the wands themselves in this tonal colorway. The card I chose to showcase this color is the Ace of wands, which shows a hand coming out of a cloud holding a wand. In this deck, the Ace in every suit is shown in a similar way, with the representative object taking up the majority of the space. This card represents new beginnings, creation, principles, and coming into one's own.
