There Goes the Sun

The view from our rental cottage on Monhegan gives you 270 degrees of magic. You can see across the bay to the mainland, and on sunny days you can make out houses and boats even 10 miles away. The lighthouse shines all day, rotating every 13 seconds with a bright beam of light. At sunset, sometimes we're treated to a glorious array of red and orange clouds, with golden rays of sun blasting our eyes till we have to put the shades down. Other times, however, a wall of blue-purple clouds distills the golden sun and gives us a more subdued view. This yarn is for those evenings, when the sky is still yellow but the clouds are rolling in to take the sun's place.
