The World

The World is the final card in the Major Arcana series, number XXI. It has long been my favorite tarot card, ever since I started reading the cards about 6 years ago. I've dreamed of getting a tattoo of this design because of what it means to me. This card represents the completion of the Fool's journey through the Major Arcana - not an end, but a fulfillment. The World symbolizes unity, and becoming one with yourself and with others. It's a reminder that each of us is connected to the earth and to all things, that there is a balance and rhythm to life that we are all part of. This card reflects achievements, milestones, and other accomplishments big and small. By understanding that we are all connected, this card indicates a desire to give back to your community and to others.

This card has always resonated with me, so instead of taking direct inspiration from the colors in the design, I chose to use colors that represent how I feel about the qualities reflected by the card's meaning. This is a moody blue green that feels comfortable, safe, and fulfilled.
