When Loretta gets home the next morning from her romantic night at the opera, her mother tells her that her fiancé Johnny (Ronnie's brother, you remember) is coming over that morning to talk to her. The Castorini family doesn't judge each other much, but Rose does point out the "love bite" that Loretta has. This scene is the beginning of the movie's denouement, which we'll get into for the last couple colors.
