Cop Slide

In the summer of 2023, a video went viral showing a police officer zooming out of the new children's slide at the playground on City Hall Plaza. The banging noises before he appears, the speed and angle at which he shoots out the slide, everything about this made it my favorite video ever. The fact that a fully grown, uniformed officer climbed all the way to the top of the play structure made it funnier. Why did he come out upside down? Why was he going so fast? What is happening? When I decided to create a Boston-themed collection, I had to include the cop slide. I chose to create a gorgeous variegated colorway that has elements of the slide and the officer's uniform together, and is still cohesive with other colors in the collection.
