This variegated yarn rounds out the MBTA, inspired by the more than 170 bus routes that service Boston and the surrounding areas. In the city, buses almost blend into the background because of their frequency. The noises they make while kneeling, the various announcements made for each stop, all of these sounds add to the background noise in Boston that I've come to love and miss when I go away. I personally use the bus all the time in order to get to work on time, and I appreciate the rhythm that the bus route gives me. When the Orange Line was shut down in 2022, it took me three buses to get to work, and I got to see parts of the city I usually don't see. I love the colors of the MBTA buses, yellow and blue and black and white!
